The A40 basic kit includes everything you need to get the boat ready for the water using easily found tools, glue, and sealant. The hulls and decks are integral. Cross-struts and hulls need to be assembled to make the platform. The kit comes with complete instructions. The kit includes 79 parts and produces a functional sailing catamaran, but no radio or servos are included, and no wiring done.
The basic kit is really designed for the experienced model builder who plans to install his own radio components or who may want to alter the existing kit for the purpose of development. The basic kit is not recommended for the first time RC model builder.
